چکیده
A total of 30 bacteria were isolated from the rhizoplane of rice cv. BR29 cultivated in Mymensingh, Bangladesh and from the seedlings obtained from surface-sterilized seeds of BR29. Upon screening, 6 isolates showed varying levels of phosphate solubilizing activity in both agar plate and broth assays using National Botanical Research Institute's phosphate medium. The bacterial isolates were identified based on their phenotypic and 16S rRNA genes sequencing data as Acinetobacter sp. BR-12, Klebsiella sp. BR-15, Acinetobacter sp. BR-25, Enterobacter sp. BR-26, Microbacterium sp. BRS-1 and Pseudomonas sp. BRS-2. The BR-25 exhibited highest phosphate solubilizing activity followed by BR-15. They grew rapidly in the liquid medium at pH 5 and 7 but almost no growth occurred at pH 3. The pH value of the culture medium was decreased with bacterial growth suggesting that they might secrete organic acids to solubilize insoluble phosphorus. Scanning electron microscope analysis of two-week-old rice seedlings germinated from seeds previously inoculated with BR-25 and BR-15 revealed dense colonization at the root surfaces presumably using fimbriae on the bacterial cells.

Complete Genome Sequence of Bacillus velezensis CBMB205, a Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacterium Isolated from the Rhizoplane of Rice in the Republic of Korea
Bacillus velezensis CBMB205 (= KACC 13105(T) = NCCB 100236(T)) was isolated from the rhizoplane of rice (Oryza sativa L. cv. O-dae). According to previous studies, this bacterium has several genes that can promote plant growth, such as the phosphorus-solubilizing protein-coding gene. Here, we present the first complete genome of B. velezensis CBMB205.
متن کاملIsolation and molecular identification of bacteria producing alkaline phosphatase enzyme from environmental sources
Alkaline phosphatase (ortho phosphate, monoester hydrolase phosphoinositide E. C. 3.1.3.1) is a non-specific metalloproteinase enzyme that is located inside periplasmic space of bacteria. This enzyme is used to measure freshwater sediment in genetic engineering for cleaning water. Isolation and molecular identification of the bacteria producing alkaline phosphatase and comparison of its product...
متن کاملScreening and identification of Iranian native phosphate solubilizing bacteria and investigation of their genetic diversity using RAPD markers
Phosphorus, the most essential nutrient for plants, becomes quickly unavailable for the plants in the soil. Phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB( can play an important role in providing Phosphorus for plants. In this study, the PSBs were screened from plant rhizosphere by Pikovskaya method. Then, the growth rate and phosphate solubilizing ability of 9 superior strains were measured at different...
متن کاملThe effect of isolated phosphorus solubilizing bacteria and molasses on Soluble and available P in wheat straw medium
Phosphorus solubilizing microorganisms are capable of transforming insoluble phosphorus (P) forms to soluble and bioavailable P. The aim of the present study was to isolate P solubilizing bacteria from forest soils around the rock phosphate (RP) mine of Koh-e-SepidLar in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province and evaluate their ability in Sperber culture medium and wheat straw medium in the presen...
متن کاملIsolation and identification of new beneficial bacterial strains from rhizosphere of Citrus sinensis orchards
The rhizosphere is the area around the root of a plant occupied by a unique population of usefulbacteria known as plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR). In this study, the isolation andidentification of rhizobacteria from orange (Citrus sinensis) orchards using 16S rRNA gene, as well asbiological and biochemical assays is reported. Analysis of 16S rRNA gene was confirmed bybiological and ...
